It's been 15 years since we first dreamed of presenting the living legend that is four-time Grammy winner Dr. John. Universally celebrated as the embodiment of the rich musical heritage of New Orleans, Dr. John's very colourful career began in the 1950s when he wrote and played guitar on some of the greatest records to come out of the Crescent City. A notorious gun incident forced him to give up guitar and take to the keyboards. The legend was born with his 1968 album "Gris-gris", on which he unveiled the charismatic persona of Dr. John - The Night Tripper adorned with voodoo charms and Big Easy regalia. The album established his unique blend of voodoo mysticism, funk, rhythm & blues, psychedelic rock and Creole roots. The rest, as they say, is rock 'n roll history. Don't miss this unique opportunity to catch the original Mardi Gras mad man!
