Green Patrons

While enjoying the 2010 Harvest Jazz & Blues Festival, there are many things we can do to reduce our impact. They may seem small or insignificant, but if everyone does their part, together we can make a difference to reduce our carbon footprint.

Here are some tips to help green your Harvest:

  • Harvest uses thousands of cups each year—while enjoying beverages at the Festival, keep your cup and reuse it for your next drink. Don’t forget to recycle your cup by using our Cup Suckers, cup sorting tubes attached to the garbage bins, at the end of the night!
  • Walk, bike, take the bus or carpool to your show—parking is an issue downtown anyways.
  • If you are visiting from outside of the city, carpool with others who are coming to Fredericton with Pickup Pal.
  • Recycle your plastic bracelet, programs and ticket stubs.
  • Give your drink token baggies back to a bar volunteer so we can reuse them.
  • While eating at our great local restaurants, try to avoid using Styrofoam take-out containers.
  • When shopping in the downtown, bring your own cloth bag so we can reduce the usage of plastic bags.
  • If you are driving, please turn off your car when stopped—avoid idling.
