Harvest announces Shivering Songs stage with headliners Old Man Luedecke and Rose Cousins
July 7, 2011
In partnership with the Shivering Songs Festival, Harvest will present two shows in the Wilmot United Church on Friday and Saturday of the Festival featuring headliners Old Man Luedecke and Rose Cousins.
After the overwhelming success of the inaugural Shivering Songs Folk Festival in January, it became apparent that there was an audience who wanted to see folk music in a beautiful, quiet setting in the heart of Fredericton. The Festival was happy to add some of the East Coast’s favourite folk acts to the already dynamic programming.
Friday evening will see Juno-winning folk artist Old Man Luedecke supported by Petunia & the Minimalist Jugband.
Saturday will serve as an album release show for both multiple East Coast Music Award recipient Rose Cousins and supporting act, the ECMA-nominated gypsy jazz group Gypsophilia.
Both evenings will also feature a short opening set by up-and-coming folk-country artist Jadea Kelly.
Both shows will begin at 8pm. Doors at 7:30pm.
Advance tickets are $20 per night or $30 for both shows and can be purchased on the Harvest website or at the Harvest store (opening July 16).
Ultimate Passes will be accepted at the door, as well as Friday and Saturday pass holders on the corresponding night.
The second Shivering Songs Festival will take place in mid-January, 2012. Details will be announced in the fall.
